Just the Basics

 

This program is designed for the entry level golfer who has never played. Just the Basics will give a basic understanding of what is involved to hit a golf ball and to do it properly.  You will learn proper grip, ball position, posture, and golf swing 101.

 

Program details:

  • 1 hour of instruction with the Pro - we will provide balls to practice after the lesson

  • Golf clubs can be provided

  • Practice balls will be provided

  • Ratio 6/1

  • Cost $30 per person

Birdies, Bogies and Business

This program is designed for the golfers who are determined to better their game as a whole, while bettering their overall physical performance. We offer 6 group lessons with the addition of a personal trainer to help understand and strengthen the exact muscles exerted during the golf swing. Instructors will reinforce the basics of the golf swing, introduce the ball flight laws and provide an explanation of the D-Plane. This six-week program is customizable towards your individual group or organization.

 

 

Program outline:

 

Lesson 1-Grip, Posture, Stance, Alignment, Ball Position and Full Swing Fundamentals.

 

Lesson 2- Full swing with an explanation of D-Plane and the 5 keys that appear in all quality golf swings. Lesson two can be observed with a trainer followed by Q&A. Hybrids woods will be introduced during this lesson. 

 

Lesson 3- Chipping and Pitching-Understanding how to control trajectory and learn how bounce works.

 

Lesson 4- Sand Shots- Basic fundaments of bunker shots along with trouble lies, including fairway bunkers.

 

Lesson 5- Putting- Basics of putting provided with drills and green reading.

 

Lesson 6- Driver- How to hit it further by understanding the angle of attack of the club head.

Driver's Ed

 

This is a one time program designed for intermediate golfers.  This course is designed to improve your driver skills, lose your slice (or hook!), hit straighter, and drive it further.  We will provide an explanation on ball flight, D- Plane, and why the ball did what it did.

 

Program Details:

  • One hour of instruction with the pro -  we will provide balls to practice after the lesson.

  • Ratio 6:1

  • Cost $30 per person

Short Game Strategies

 

This is a one time program designed for intermediate golfers looking to improve their short game.  

This program will cover; chipping, pitching, putting, and sand play (Greenside and Fairway bunkers).

 

Program Details:

  • 1.5 hour with the Pro - we will provide balls for practice after the lesson

  • Practice balls included

  • Ratio 6:1

  • Cost $45/person

  • Program is held at Mercer Oaks Golf Course

Golf Strategies for the Advance Golfer

 

This program is designed for the more experienced golfer who consistently shoots from 90 and below and wants to take his or her game to the next level.

The program will include a review on grip, posture, ball position, alignment, course management and specialty shots.

 

Program Details:

  • 1 hour of instruction with the Pro - we will provide balls to practice after the lesson

  • Ration 4:1

  • Cost $50/person

Create Your Own Golf School

 

 

This course is designed for golfers with similar abilities, handicaps, and flexible work schedules.  You can create your own foursome or sign up as an individual and the academy will assign you to a group based on availability.

The Program will cover the basic fundamentals of the golf swing; grip, posture, ball position, alignment, the driver, short game (chipping, pitching, and putting), and bunker situations.

Cost: $180 per person - must have a minimum of 4 people

1 hour of instruction each class

 

Program Details:

  • Meets once a week for 6 weeks at Mercer Oaks; Flexible scheduling - 6 total sessions 4:1 student/teacher ratio of instruction from a Pro - we will provide balls to practice after the lesson

  • Session 1: Basics of full swing

  • Session 2: Full swing irons

  • Session 3: Short game

  • Session 4: Hybrids and Fairway woods

  • Session 5: Bunkers

  • Session 6: Driver

  • Cost : $180 per person - must have a minumum of 4 people

  • Program is held at Mercer Oaks Golf Course
