JUNIOR GOLF FALL LEAGUE: SEPTEMBER - OCTOBER

Our Fall Golf League is designed for kids 9-16 years old that want to get out and compete in INDIVIDUAL STROKE PLAY format at the five county golf courses (Princeton CC, Mercer Oaks East/West, Mountain View, and Hopewell Valley CC).  The league is NOT team-oriented like our Spring League.

DETAILS

  • 5 week program (5 matches) beginning early September (practices the week of 9/10, first match 9/17). Last match will be 10/15 (rain date 10/22). Matches are 9 holes.

  • Players MUST have stroke play experience to enroll (Stroke play is a form of play where a player (or players) competes  INDIVIDUALLY against all others in the competition by comparing a total score for one or more rounds) and be able to walk 9 holes either pushing/pulling or carrying their bag.  We recommend that a player be able to consistantly shoot below 65 for 9 holes to enroll. This is NOT an instructional program nor is it for beginners.

  • Players can attend open practice ONCE per week. Most likely offered on Tuesdays at Mercer Oaks, Wednesdays and Thursdays at Princeton CC, and they will compete in matches on Sunday afternoons. Players are permitted to attend practice ONLY ONE of the nights per week that are offered. Practices will be from 5:30-6:30p.m. Sunday Match Tee Times will start betwen 2:30-3 p.m.  When registering, you will be able to select your preferred practice night.

  • Matches (9 holes) will be played at Princeton CC, Mercer Oaks, Mountain View and Hopewell Valley CC. See the schedule above for dates.

  • Open to boys and girls ages 9-17 (age as of 9/17).  Players will be grouped by age, gender, and skill. Age groups will be determined based on the ages of players enrolled (e.g. 9-10, 11-13, 14-17).  

  • Due to three matches occurring each Sunday at three different locations, siblings that are of different age and/or gender may be playing at different locations.  

  • COST: $350

  • Players will NOT be placed on specific teams like our Spring League/PGA Jr. League.  Instead, they will compete in INDIVIDUAL STROKE PLAY all five matches (double par maximum per hole).

  • Parents can attend matches to spectate and can assist in keeping score and maintaining pace of play.  Caddying is permitted (no instruction and pace of play will be strictly enforced).  Caddies must walk and players are not permitted to ride in golf carts

  • Trophies will be awarded to the top finishers in each age group upon completion of the league.
